How to Prevent Hair Fall at Home

Most adults, especially men are facing hair fall problems in their early adult stage itself. It makes them more stressed. Nowadays youngsters are mostly affected by hair loss. It has become common in every men’s life.

It is more common than the past generations. Because of changing lifestyle and food habits, it causes hair fall to most of the men.

One-third of the population worldwide is affected by hair fall and hair loss. Approximately every man loses 100 hair each day.

Reason for hair fall or hair loss

  1. Change in harmones
  2. Bad diet
  3. Mineral deficiency
  4. Medications
  5. Stress
  6. Genetics
  7. Pollution
  8. Genetics
  9. Wearing a cap, helmet, and hat
  10. hairstyles like ponytails.

It differs from person to person according to their medical conditions. If you suffer from sudden heavy hair fall, then you have to consult your doctor immediately. But few hairs will fall in each day is a natural process. So don’t want to worry about that.

The solution to prevent hair fall  or hair loss

  1. Drink Water

Drink more water a day, at least 5 – 8 glasses of water. It makes your hair grow healthy. Keep hydrated yourself every day.

  1. Lifestyle and Diet

In most cases, change in lifestyle and diet will be the main cause of hair fall. So you change your lifestyle. Don’t be awaken in night time for a long time. Sleep well for at least 7 – 8 hours daily. Because of change in sleeping will lead to stress and hair fall. It also leads to overeating which causes obesity and also it creates a path to hair fall.

Eat protein-rich food and exercise for 30 mins at least a day to balance hormone levels and reduce stress which prevents hair fall.

  1. Wash your hair often

Washing your hair often with shampoo keeps your hair healthy and keeps your scalp clean which lowers the cause of infections and dandruff in hair scalp. But choose the best shampoo for your hair. Don’t use a bad shampoo in which chemicals may affect your hair follicles.

  1. Avoid Hairbrush

Avoid brushing your hair when it is wet it will lead to hair fall. Also, avoid combing your wet hair. These two will cause hair fall or hair loss. Rubbing your hair using a towel also leads to hair loss. Let dry your hair naturally.

  1. Head massage

Massage your head with almond oil will help to reduce hair fall. Do this at the night before going to bed thrice a week. You can use almond oil, coconut oil, and sesame oil.

  1. Take more vitamins

Taking more vitamins is not only good for your body also helps your hair growth. Vitamin E helps in good blood circulation in the scalp to keep hair follicles productive. Vitamin B helps in maintaining hair color.

  1. Onion juice

Apply onion juice to your head scalp for 30 mins to 1 hour once a week. After applying the onion juice, massage mildly and wash your hair completely after 1 hour.

It is not recommended for people who have sinus problems, asthma, and wheezing. Because onion juice will give you more chillness to your body, it becomes more complications to your health.

  1. Avoid consumption of Alcohol and Smoking Cigarettes

Consumption of alcohol and smoking cigarettes will reduce the blood flow in your scalp which leads to hair fall. So try to reduce the consumption of alcohol and cigarettes to get prevent hair loss.

  1. Health and Medication

If you are continuously having any health issues and having more medications will also lead to hair fall or hair loss. In this case, you have to consult about a change of medication and your health problems.

Eat healthy vitamins and protein-rich food and be hygienic.

  1. Sweat hair

Sweat hair makes your hair oily and leads to dandruff which causes hair fall problems in the summertime. Clean your hair daily using aloe vera and neem-composed shampoo.

Wearing a helmet Constant for a long time in summer will also lead to hair loss. Try to take a break from long-distance traveling.

  1. Avoid Stress

Many Studies have told that stress is one of the main causes for hair fall in the current generation. So stress-free by doing some yoga and exercise by walking, running, and cycling. Meditation also keeps you stress-free. So try it.

  1. Hairstyles and Usage of Chemicals

Constantly changing hairstyles and coloring your hair will also lead to hair damage. Avoid using some chemicals like gel and cream for your hair will also break your hair follicles and cause hair loss.

  1. Avoid Heating and Drying

Frequently heating and drying your hair will cause hair loss. It weakens the hair proteins and leads to fragility which leads to hair loss. So avoid constant heating and drying procedures to your hair.

  1. Others

Biotin – Biotin will reduce the risk of hair fall or hair loss. Biotin is rich in vitamin H that converts food into energy. So taking biotin supplements and biotin-rich food will reduce hair loss. Biotin-rich foods such as nuts, sweet potatoes, eggs, onions, and oats.

Bhringraj – Is a medicinal herb used as ayurvedic medicine for hair loss problems. As per some studies it also regrows hair.

Green Tea – it has some compounds in it which prevent hair loss problems. Also rubbing green tea in your hair may help in hair loss problems. Add green tea in water and leave them to cool, then apply it to your hair. Clean your hair after 1 hour thoroughly. Try this method thrice a week, you’ll see better results.


More than that, if you have severe problems with hair fall. Then consult your doctor immediately and take medications as per the doctor’s prescription.
