How to Setup Google Analytics 4 for Your Website or Blogger
Hello Everyone, Today I’m going to show you how to set up Google Analytics!
Google Analytics is one of the most popular tools to track your website traffic and to understand your viewers.
However, it might be hard for you or for your content manager to set up it for the first time because it will take a lot of time if you don’t know what to do.
It is quite easy to do though, so I’ll try to explain everything in the easiest possible way.
We will be using an example site to show you how to get Google Analytics set up.
Start by registering for Google Analytics ( https://www.google.com/analytics/ ) and sign up for a new account which will give you a tracking code.
This is something you will want to do if you want to gain insight on your blog, and want to learn how to improve your blog traffic and increase the exposure of your own blog!
I’ll be going through this video in order to help you get started with Google Analytics and how it works.
There are two ways to set up Google Analytics, by adding the code directly into your website or by installing the Google Analytics plugin on your blog.
The first way to set up Google Analytics is directly into your website, you would need to go to your website and find where you want the code to be placed.
Once you’ve found the place on your website just click view source (most likely CTRL + U) and copy the code you need to paste into the source.
Now let’s start,
Sign up for Google Analytics
First, You have to Sign up for Google Analytics. Use the same Mail Account for Signup Google Analytics. It is helpful for your future process. Mostly try to use the same Mail ID for your Blog or Website.
Now go to the Search bar and search Google analytics and click the first appearing page in search results.
After you enter the page, it looks like the above image. There you have to click the “Start Measuring” tab.
1) Account Setup
This page will appear when clicking the “Start Measuring” tab. Here you have to give your property Name. you can also give your Blog or Website name for your property name.
Then you have to tick all the boxes as I have shown in the above picture.
After finishing the above steps, then click the next button.
2) Property Setup
Here you are going to fill in your property details. Just Enter your Property name.
You have to choose your Country and your Preferred Currency.
There you can see “Show Advanced Options“, Click that.
It is an important step in your setup process. here you have to tick the ” Create a Universal Analytics Property” box.
As you Enabled that Property, I mentioned. you can see another some details which you like to enter. In the Website URL box, You have to enter your Website’s URL.
Then you have to choose the correct box as shown in the above picture.
3) About Your Business
By Clicking the next button, there you have to give about your business information.
select the niche in which you are going to work.
Choose your business, if you are the only person working on your site, then choose small. select the business size as how many employees you have.
Now select the all boxes as mentioned above in the picture.
Next, click the creation option.
Here you find a pop-up where you have to select your country and click the box as I have shown in the above picture and then click the “I Accept” option.
After this, your property was successfully created. where you can see your Measurement ID and Webstream details.
By scrolling down, there you find a google site tag(gtag.js). copy the global site tag code and paste it into your website header section.
Otherwise, you can use plugins for your website to connect this Google Analytics easily.
4) Tracking ID
you can find your tracking ID in the property settings section as shown in the above picture.
5) Paste The Tracking Code in Blogger Site
In Blogger you can easily connect this account by copy the Tracking ID of your property and paste it in your Blogger’s Google analytics tab which is in the Settings Page.
I give you all instructions in the picture itself. just follow the instructions. If the picture is not clearly visible. Click the picture and see the image.
With the help of Google Analytics, you can track your traffic and viewers of your website.
